Now, if i look here
http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8.09.2/atheros/, then i see version for root or combined, and a 128K and 64K version.
Sorry that i don't have the skills for creating this.
But i think the kamikaze OS can be used to build a application installer that can be used on original fonera developer firmware. (developer version, because then you got application upload support and ssh/telnet)
An application install file looks like this: XXXXXX2n_YYY.tar.gz
where X = applicationname and Y is version number.
It's a target ball file. Keep in mind, internal storage is about 1.75MB, more is possible when user uses usb external storage device.
But i guess you already know that.
