I am getting an invalid password error when attempting to connect to the samba share on my la fonera 2.0g (2202) running firmware v2.3.0.1 RC1 .

The same user credentials work fine when connecting via FTP. Username is "fonero" and the password is the same one I use to log into the dashboard and the root user account via SSH.

Tested SMB clients include Mac OS X 10.6 and Windows Vista SP1.

Searched the forums for "samba password" and found that this topic has already been addressed in following related threads.

The fix for Vista looks pretty easy....just edit the registry to change the NTLM authentication. Possible Snow Leopard workaround could be to use SSH/SFTP and MacFuse.
