What is your cam's model number ? I don't have bought a cam yet, I'm still looking for a really good option that works with F2 and Motion, and maybe with the next F2n.

Well, here it is.
The first pre-beta release.
Test at your own risk!!!! I am not responsible, not even if your house burns down! :D
I'm only the author of the install program, please do not ask me questions about motion or
opening ports for WAN access. This is a problem of the fon firmware.
Now for the program:
If you have installed the fon webcam plugin remove this first. Only one program can access the webcam. :!:
After installation via the web interface (plugins or applications>Upload file), open Firefox not IE.
@ http:fonera:81 you will find the motion maintenance interface. (settings, reset etc.)
@ http:fonera:82 you will find the motion live stream of your webcam. (not in IE)
@ http:fonera:83 you will find the last movement detected by motion. (also works in IE) :)
I hope you will all be as happy with this as I am.
Please report working under fon firmware version in this topic.
Tested under fon_2.2.3.0, 2.2.6.0 RC2 and 2.2.6.0 RC5.

The port forwarding is a problem in the current fon_firmware.
Last good firewall verrsion is 2.2.6.0 RC2.
The final release of 2.2.6.0 will come soon I think (hope)

when that happens perhaps you can put the "download" link and all possible tested RC's & remarks/questions/answers in the "first post"?

OldMan is happy to see that Motion4fon is downloaded so many times. :D
But I will be even more happy to get some responce. :)
Is it working for all 35 downloaders? :?
What FON firmware version are you using? :?:
For the fonero's who want to see the pictures from the WAN site:
2.2.6.0 RC2 has the last good working firewall.
I can make a tool to easily downgrade, but I am not motivated at the moment.

Hi Oldman!!

First of all, a million of thanks for your fonera webcam utility pack.

I have installed in my fonera (2.2.6.0 RC5), ans it's working well in local area, but when I try to see the webcam from internet I can't.

I think that the problem is caused for the firewall...let's me explain...in my router firewall I have forwarded 82 port to my IP fonera..but I couldn't see the cam...after that I have forwarded the same port in Fonera's firewall to fonera IP...with the same result...I can't see nothing..

Colud you help me with the firewall settings..or it's impossible to see the webcam until Fon fix the Firewall or the Fonera??

Another time Thanks in advance...and from Spain I send you "BRAVO"...for your effort(Sorry for mi limited English)

Hi Oldman, you asked for it.
I'm using a Logitech 9000 pro and firmware 2.2.6.0 RC5, and setup and viewing is working fine.
(webcam was not working with the standard webcam plugin)
Only the firewall is not cooperating, so I'm waiting for a new firmware to come out (St. Juttemis day?)

Robbie

Oh, and sorry for downloading it 34 times. (just kiddin' :D )

PS thank you for working on this plugin.

I'll check it out on a 2.3.0RC1
and on a fon-N
but i believe the latter requires a recompilation for "ralink" soc of the motion package?

http://download.fonosfera.org/plugins/
you notice that fon's own packages are now being made public in 2 flavours... a G and N flavour :-)

There is no "Fon-N" and none of Fon's products are called "a Fon".

It is "La Fonera 2.0n"
