Can a Hard Disk Dock be used with the Fonera 2.0n?

I'm thinking on buying this one:

The HDD Docking station works like a charm, but the card reader *doesn't work* :( Any idea??

W-o-w i'd love to have one of these! Get it anyway! :D As long as it mounts the drive and cards as standard independant USB shares, LF should see them. I suppose it might only see one share, or certain shares and not others, but it would be useful to find out how that goes. Naturally, Fon would hold it's breath nervously, but be very happy to learn that it works 100% :P

It also appears that this device would serve as the powered hub which LF usually needs. 8)

as far as I know...these work... in most cases
eg my Canon MP630 connected by usb also holds a cardreader...I can access eg compactflash inside of it...but won't be able to access the usb on the canon via the fonera...

I have also such thing as above... with 2 usb sticks and an SD card reader...it works

The Esata to Usb converter didn't work... probably no such drivers in the scsi-core library
it works on ubuntu... perhaps there are some scsi-advaced drivers?

Yes it works!
I am already using a SATA HDD Dock
Better create a FAT32 partition below 32gb. for fonera.

Question: is there a problem using NTFS formatted disks (lets say of 500GB) with the F2N? Or should I format them on ext2/3?

Well, the docking station has arrived, and after having to run to the local electrical parts store to buy a power plug adapter (UK -> EU), I managed to successfully connect it to the F2N... :?

For now, I managed only to test it with SD Cards and an portable hard-drive connected to one of the USB hub ports; the hub works fine and I managed to connect up to two external drives on to it, but the SD card doesn't seem to work...

Any thoughts on how to make it recognize flash cards, like SD??

Tomorrow I'll be testing it with a SATA Hard Disk and then post the results here! ;)
